Medication and behavior modification seem to be the most effective treatments. Historically there has some controversy over the diagnosis and treatment of the disorder. Some people don't think it is real problem while other people object the use of stimulant medications on children. According to the AMA has it is an actual disorder and the way it is diagnosed are correct. Separation in the first weeks or months of life could be the origin of borderline disorders, since borderline individuals have an exceedingly high rate of adoption.
