The call-up is the latest landmark in a remarkable career for Harrison, a former trainee at Manchester United.  He moved to the USA with his family at the age of 13, signing up with NYCFC and becoming a key cog in the midfielder under manager Patrick Vieira. Despite making his debut in May 2016 in a 7-0 defeat by rivals New York Red Bulls, he impressed and was nominated for the MLS Rookie of the Year award. England U21s play two Euro 2019 qualifiers this week, against Scotland and Andorra, as they aim to carry on the good form from the summer which saw them reach the 2017 tournament semi-finals.
